Returns, Refunds and Exchanges

Tokyoflash Japan returns policy and how to get a refund or exchange

  • If you are not completely satisfied with the purchase you made through Tokyoflash Japan, by all means send the item(s) back for an exchange or refund. The choice is up to you. Our aim is for every customer to be 110% satisfied.
  • If you would like an exchange or refund you must contact us within 48 hours of the package being delivered. If you email us within 48 hours of receiving your item(s) but do not get an immediate response, please do not worry as your claim is still valid and we will contact you as soon as possible. You are required to send unwanted item(s) back to us within 14 days.
  • Please note, the item must be returned in PERFECT CONDITION, just as when you received it. If the item is damaged, scratched or if there is evidence that the item has been used, we cannot accept the return.
  • If you would like a refund, a 100% refund on the price you paid will be made less a 1,800 yen administration fee. This is to cover costs including packaging and inspection of returned goods, changes to the product and order databases and credit/debit card refunds. This also applies if you would like a refund on a product where delivery was attempted but the package was not claimed and was returned to us.
  • If you would like an exchange, you will be asked to return the product to us.  You may place a new order for the product you want at any time and the new order will be shipped to you.  Once we receive the returned product from you, a 100% refund on the price you paid will be made less a 1,800 yen administration fee.  This is to cover costs including packaging and inspection of returned goods, changes to the product and order databases and credit/debit card refunds.
  • Changes in product price will not affect the refund you receive. Due to currency exchange rates changing, the actual amount refunded may be slightly more or less than the original price at the time the refund is given.
  • In the case of an exchange or refund, you will need to pay return shipping costs and we only accept returns sent by regular or registered mail from your national post office. We do not accept returns delivered by UPS, FedEx, DHL or other such delivery companies due to their strict customs clearance policies.
  • When returning the product you ordered for an exchange or refund, please include a note inside the package with your name, address, email address, order number, the reason for return and whether you would like an exchange or refund.
  • Please allow between 2 and 3 weeks for the refund to show up on your credit or debit card.
