The designer Naoto Fukasawa tells us that the face design of this watch is meant to resemble the various moods of a human, using the position of the dials and hands. This is a popular concept in Japan, the best selling cars often have grills & headlights that resemble a happy face.

The lack of numbers isn't important with this design as the inner angles of the case match up with the hour positions.

The strap is a comfortable leather one with a matt polyurethane finish on the outside.
